The girls adore birthdays and loved making a big fuss over Daddy for his. They burst into our room singing Happy Birthday first thing in the morning. Tessie smothered him with kisses. After school we tidied up, drew some cards and put together little oreo ice cream sandwiches.
When Brian came home he opened his gifts and then he and I headed out for a nice Italian dinner in downtown Sydney. All in all it was a nice, low key autumn birthday abroad.
