These days the girls wake up and go straight to Lego. This works well on the weekends. On the school days I have to tear them away from it to convince them to get into their uniforms. We have a wide assortment of Lego - much of it carries over from Brian's childhood. We also supplemented it with some Lego friends kits over recent years. The kids love to do big elaborate vehicles with lots of rooms for people, pets and bikes.
We continue to draw every day as well. Today Emily amazed me with a full cross section of a house.
I love her attention to detail. There are stairs and doors. There is a scooter with a helmet in a closet under the stairs. The dining room table has dishes and chairs. The bureau has a lamp and a piggy bank. The mom is carrying the child up to bed. This one is definitely a keeper.
Love it all! I showed the girls' lego creations to Liam, who was very impressed and inspired. The vehicle with the horse and rider AND supplemental bicycles was of particular interest. Well done! And the house drawing is just wonderful. Hooray for creativity!
