I am so proud of these two big girls and how well they have adjusted to our new life in Australia. This month has been all about school and making new friends. We have connections here now. They can finally say that they miss home and love it but that they quite like it here as well.
On Sunday we took the ferry into the city and to our delight we ran into one of Emily's Year One friends. I love when school friends greet each other out in the "real world" and embrace as if it's been weeks and not days since they've seen each other last.
Brian and I checked another item off our Australia bucket list - we saw an opera at the Opera House. In fact, we saw La Boheme and we loved it. We had intended to see it with Brian's parents but when they delayed their trip by a week we ended up taking a colleague from Bose and a new friend from Balmain. It felt great to be out as adults. We have two babysitters now so we can finally start to schedule more night-time events.
The rainbow we saw from the Opera Bar was just the icing on the cake.
So great to see you guys adjusting so well! Hannah definitely misses Emily, but she loves seeing the pictures and keeping up with what you guys are doing Down Under.
